Alexei Butirskiy is a classically trained artist, having earned his MFA in 1998 from the prestigious Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture—one of the world's most respected art institutions.
His signature style focuses on urban landscapes that capture the essence of city life with authenticity and emotion. Alexei’s masterful use of light and shadow—known as chiaroscuro—brings his works to life, creating a glowing, almost ethereal effect that draws viewers in.
